Artbank has launched Reveille. A work that was commissioned as part of their Performutations series.
I will be producing a video work titled “Reveille” as part of Artbank’s Performutations series to be released on July 18. Below is an earlier write up in the Sydney Morning Herald.
La Mancha is the region where Miguel de Cervantes’ protagonist Don Quixote travelled in the eponymously titled 17th Century novel. In La Mancha I will be following the fictional footsteps (however erroneously) of The Knight of the Sad Countenance. This continues my interest in Don Quixote, which was first expressed in the 2009 project, “Tino La Bamba: A Spaniard’s Journey to Lismore”.
