100 Drill | MARK SHORTER

“100 Drill” drew connections between my tennis training as an adolesent and the later use of endurance in my performance works. As part of the work I tapped into my research into the cabaret performances of the early avantguard with a particular focus on the Cabaret Voltaire (1916) and German poet Hugo Ball’s performance “Karawane”. 100 Drill was performed at Project 8 Gallery as part of the Exhibition Recreation
