Acts of Exposure (2013)
"Acts of Exposure" was a joint initiative between Contemporary Art Tasmania and the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery. The exhibition showcased the work of Leigh Hobba, Michael Schlitz and myself and was a contemporary take on Romanticism and the artistic tradition of the body in space. For my installation (presented here) I brought together a series of Schleimgurgeln video works that questioned constructions of space in the Australian colonial landscape tradition:
Song for Heysen (2011)
Song for Glover (2012)
Unguided (2013)
"Unguided" was commissioned especially for the exhibition by TMAG and was filmed in the museum's Colonial Gallery, which houses the country's largest collection of John Glover paintings.
