To Train a Fart in the Desert
"To Train a Fart in the Desert" is an ongoing project.
To date the work has been produced with Tangent Projects, Barcelona, The University of Granada and ROTA Experimental Music Festival, AADK Spain.
The work responds to the Spaghetti Westerns shot across Spain in the 60s and 70s. The brass instruments are unwieldy objects, hard to control and unpredictable in the sounds that they make. In the project participants are taught how to play the instruments, we then tune them together to produce a tone that responds to the setting.
