The project was a solo exhibition, workshop and performance at Casa de Porras, Granada (30 January–27 March 2026), produced with La Madraza, University of Granada. The exhibition returned to the Tabernas Desert, the landscape the Euro-Western reinvented as the "American West", bringing together previous works "To Serenade a Mountain" (2024) and "Tierra Trompetas" (2025) with a new iteration, "Tabernas Desfase" (2026). The prompt for the project was to build a signal machine that could connect Casa de Porras with the mythology of the Tabernas Desert. Over four days, participants and I built sound sculptures from assembled readymades, brass fittings and vibrating membranes. At the opening, ten artists and I performed these instruments in the patio of Casa de Porras, coupling some to the rainwater downpipes so that the building itself resounded.
